Roofing...
Beginning with hot tar built-up roofing (BUR) in the 70’s, A to Z Coatings has been installing commercial and industrial roofing for over 30 years. Then we installed some of the first single-ply roofing systems available in America. We were first introduced to Spray Polyurethane foam (SPF) roofing in the early 80’s and at this point, having installed and repaired all forms of flat roofing, began to see the enormous advantages of SPF roofing. From there we’ve not looked back and continue to specialize in the most reliable and economical flat roofs available — Spray Polyurethane Foam.
Our sloped roofing division has evolved tremendously over the past five years. We have added managers, superintendents and installers all whom have installed composition shingle, slate, wood, metal and composite sloped roofing products. Our staff is experienced, knowledgeable and up to date on the newest and most reliable manufacturers of sloped roofing materials and is ready to help you with your roofing needs.
Our project management staff is extremely experienced in the insurance industry. We have helped thousands of home and business owners throughout the insurance claims process by assisting them in receiving the repairs they deserve in a time of need. Call us now for help with your storm damaged roof.

SPF Roofing...
Below is an actual cross section of SPF roofing insulation coated with silicone and embedded granules. The hole seen on the top of the sample was put there intentionally to demonstrate SPF’s extreme resiliency against leaks due to punctures or damage. Closed-cell foam is used to form our monolithic, seamless and waterproof roof. This hole can fill with water which will be contained in the hole as in a cup.
Single-ply roofs such as TPO and EPDM can be totally compromised by a much smaller hole or failed material seam. This failure soaks the insulation board thus ruining all insulating value and creating leaks to the interior of the structure. In contrast, the large hole in the SPF pictured above will not spread water throughout the insulation and will NOT leak to the structure below. It simply needs to be repaired within a year or so.
Because demand is high and the systems are well known by architects, we still install TPO and EPDM single-ply roof systems from a variety of manufactures. Just like SPF, these systems have been proven over time and come with manufacturer’s warranties. When these systems are chosen, we recommend upgrading to the thickest membrane available to give the roof a better-than-average durability and lifetime.
